In-Home Services
Case Managers Amy Adkins, Annette Harney, and David Taylor meet with people age 60 and older in their homes to determine what they need to remain independent in their homes. During the visit, a personalized assessment is completed, and a variety of services may be put into place to help the person. After services are put into place, Amy, David and Annette make contact with the person to ensure that the services are making a difference, and they are satisfied.
Case Managers are also Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program (VICAP) counselors. They provide unbiased assistance and help individuals navigate the Medicare and health insurance maze.
Amy Adkins has an additional role as the Senior Outreach to Services Case Manager. She conducts outreach activities in housing complexes such as Springdale Apartments and Fairfax Hall in Waynesboro. She meets with seniors, learns about their needs, and helps link them to services. She also arranged programs like flu shot clinics and beginner computer classes at some of the complexes.
Amy, Annette, and David work very hard to connect services to people age 60 and older to ensure their highest level of independence in their home and community.
