New Menus on the Horizon

Waynesboro Director Janice Gentry supervises the SAW Region Central Kitchen which prepares meals for the Churchville, Staunton, and Waynesboro Centers and their Meals on Wheels clients.  We have had the services of Catherine “Cat” Taylor, a JMU graduate finishing her field service hours.  One of Cat’s projects was to represent the desires of the members and clients with regard to food choices through conversations and analysis of meal satisfaction surveys.

On June 13 we met with our food vendor, US Foods, and laid out a 6 week menu rotation that will expect will be pleasing to our clients and members.   It will take several weeks to get the menu documentation and recipes from US Foods, so we anticipate starting the new menus on August 1st.
